On May 30th at Pyeonghwa Temple. Today at Pyeonghwa Temple, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a general memorial service lasting a full 4 hours and a special joint memorial service for the Korean War veterans were held. On this day, four monks, including Chief Abbot Sangmyeong and Monk Deokjae who came from Korea, performed bal-ah dance, drum dance, and flute, giving many people deep emotion. I offered a cup, lit incense, and called out the names of all 516 spirits one by one. From the start of the ceremony, tears welled up and I tried hard to hold them back. Even though it lasted a long 4 hours, it was such a rewarding and happy moment for me. It will be remembered for a long, long time in my life. 5월 30일 평화사에서 오늘 평화에서는 오전10 부터 오후2시 까지 장장 4시간에 걸친 일반 천도재와 특별히 한국전 참전희생자를 위한 합동 천도재가 있었읍니다 이날 상명 주지 스님과 한국에서 오신 덕재 스님을 비롯한 4분의 스님이 발아춤 북춤 피리 등을 공연 많은 감동을 주었습니다 저는 이날 잔을 올리고 향을 피우고 또 516 분의 영가 이름을 일일이 호명 하였읍니다 저는 행사 시작부터 눈물이 솟아 참느라 애를 썼읍니다 장장 4시간에 걸처 긴 시간임에도 저는 얼마나 보람 있고 행복한 순간 이었는지 내 인생에 오래 오래 기억 될 것입니다 오늘 행사에 참여해 주신 여러분 고맙습니다
