Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Ahaidea Corp. collects
through ahaidea.com, the regional sites we run under it, and the Ahaidea app
for iPhone and Android, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The app
and the site share one set of accounts, so this policy covers both.
1. What we collect
When you create an account:
- your user name and password;
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your city, province and country;
- optionally, your street address, postal code and date of birth;
- whether you want to receive marketing email.
When you sign in with Google: the identifier Google gives your Google
account and its email address, so that we can recognise you the next time.
When you post something: what you write, and any photograph you upload.
Comments you write in the app are posted in the same way and appear on the site too.
When you place an order: the name, phone number and delivery address you
enter for that order, and what you ordered. We do not take payment on the site, so we
never see or hold a card number.
When we confirm your phone number: the number itself and the fact that it
was confirmed. If the confirmed number is different from the one on your account, we
update your account to the confirmed one.
When you use the app:
- Signing in. We check the user name and password, or the one-time code we
emailed you, against your account. The app then keeps a sign-in key in your phone’s
secure storage so you stay signed in. With it we record when it was made and last used,
the IP address and the kind of phone. Signing out ends the key.
- Reports and blocks. When you report a posting or a comment we keep what
you reported, the reason, anything you wrote, and your account (or, if you were not signed
in, your IP address). When you block someone we keep that, so their postings stay hidden
from you on any phone.
- Saved items are kept only on your phone. We do not receive them.
- Photos you attach. When you add photos to a post, the app sees only the
photos you pick from your library, or take with the camera when you choose to. We make them smaller and remove the information stored inside them
(such as where they were taken) before they are posted.
- The app does not use your phone’s location or contacts, it shows no
third-party advertising, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or
sites. When you open the address on a listing, that address — not where you
are — is looked up by your phone’s own map service.
Automatically, as with any website: your IP address, the pages you look at
and roughly when. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember what is in your
basket.
2. Why we collect it
- to run your account and let you sign in, on the site and in the app;
- to show your postings to other people, which is what posting is for;
- to take an order, contact you about it, and deliver it;
- to confirm that a phone number given at checkout really reaches you;
- to answer you when you write to us;
- to understand which parts of the site are used, so we can improve them;
- to look into reports, deal with abuse and fraud, and act on anything the law
requires of us.
We do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
3. What other people can see
Anything you post — the text, the photographs, and the contact details you choose to
put in a listing — is public. Please do not put anything in a posting that you would
not want a stranger to read. Your account details are not shown to other users.
4. Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only:
- with Twilio, which delivers our text messages, and only the number
being messaged;
- with Google, through Google Analytics and Google Translate, which are
built into our pages, and YouTube, which plays the videos on the site and in the app.
These see visit information such as your IP address and the pages or videos you view,
and are subject to Google’s own privacy policy;
- with Google again as Gmail, which carries the email we send you
(sign-in codes, order messages), and as Google Sign-In if you choose to use it;
- where the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.
These providers may process information outside Canada, and while it is there it may be
subject to the laws of that country.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account for as long as it is open. When it is closed, we erase your personal
details 30 days later (see “Delete” below). Postings stay until you delete them
or we remove them. Order records are kept as long as our tax and business records require.
One-time codes stop working within hours, or as soon as they are used, and are deleted
within a week. An app sign-in key that is not used for 180 days stops working. Records of
wrong passwords are deleted after 30 days. Reports are kept for as long as we need them
to deal with abuse.
6. Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and we limit who inside the
company can reach it. No website can promise perfect security. If a breach ever put your
information at real risk of harm, we would tell you and the Privacy Commissioner, as
Canadian law requires.
7. Your choices
- See and correct: most of what we hold about you is on your
“Edit Information” page and you can change it yourself at any time.
- Ask for a copy: write to us and we will tell you what we hold
about you.
- Delete: in the app, go to 마이 → 회원 탈퇴; or write
to us and we will do it for you. Your account closes at once, on the app and the site.
For 30 days we can still reopen it if you ask; after that we erase your name, email
address, phone numbers, address, date of birth and password, and remove your Google
sign-in, sign-in keys and blocks. Postings and comments you made stay unless you delete
them first. We keep what we must for legal or accounting reasons, such as order
records.
- Marketing email: turn it off on your account page, or use the
unsubscribe link in the message.
- Text messages: reply STOP to stop them.
- Cookies: your browser can block or clear them, though the site will
not keep you signed in if you do.
8. Children
The site and the app are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their
information. If you believe a child has given us information, please tell us and we will
remove it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will
say so on the site when a change matters.
