When November comes every year, there is something that makes my heart flutter.
It's the Memorial Day event that's being held at the Mugunghwa Love Group

The famous James Garden in Toronto has the Lee Sang-on Mugunghwa Garden, where 50 Mugunghwa trees were planted in 2010.

I don't know how heartbreaking and exciting it is just to have Mugunghwa Garden in a famous park in Canada.

Every year, when Canada Memorial Day (November 11) comes, 516 ribbons are hung on Mugunghwa trees to commemorate the souls of 516 Canadian soldiers who died in the Korean War.

Then you don't know how beautiful and touching the bright red ribbon flowers are.

It is also very pleasing to see Korean residents participate and wear ribbons.

Visitors who visit the park after seeing us like this are amazed and amazed by the event as an expression of gratitude to the veterans of the Korean War, and they keep saying "thank you, thank you."

And there is a story that remains in my heart.

A Canadian middle-aged woman stood in front of the Mugunghwa Garden and started crying. She wasn't just crying, she was just shaking her shoulders and crying. I asked her, "What's wrong?" She said, "My father died not long ago when he participated in the Korean War. I was grateful and reminded him of me."

When I heard it, I also shed tears with joy and gratitude.

I gave her a big hug, and I don't know how grateful she was to bring her mother the next year.

One more time, two grandmothers came to the front of the venue and said, "We are honoring the 516 souls of Kadana soldiers who sacrificed in the Korean War," and they hugged me very tightly, saying, "Thank you, thank you." It was a happy and happy moment.

One day, I was cleaning up the Memorial Day facilities when two passing women came up to me and asked, "What are you doing?" and I said, "I put 516 ribbons on the table for Canadian veterans who were killed in the Korean War, and I'm cleaning them up today." Thank you very much.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Memorial Day of the Mugunghwa Love Group.

I had to report it first if I wanted to do an event in the park, but it was difficult to notify in advance, and I was very worried even if it came too far.

This is because if you gather more than 30 people, you have to get permission.

I don't know how much I've been worried about whether I'll be disallowed from the event. But I've been doing it safely and now the park officials are happy and supportive.

But there was a time when I was very heartbroken.

In fact, many parks in Toronto have Mugunghwa Garden, which was all done by the feet of former chairman Kim Byung-sun.

When it became known that Mugunghwa was the national flower of Korea, it became a big problem at the Toronto Park Bureau and the discussion was held, so I was really heartbroken.

Although it is the national flower of Korea, it was considered fortunate to hear that Koreans tolerated it as something they did personally.

In the second episode, I was scolded for sneaking out of my family campsite at dawn. I couldn't do the event without it because I had the ribbon with me at the time. Even now, I still sweat when I think about it.

It's a small event, but it's attended by people from all walks of life, including the Korean president, members of the National Assembly, the president of the senior citizens' association, the consulate, and Pyeongtong.

However, there was a disappointment.

Every year, only around 40 people participated, so I felt empty.

At least 70 people were recorded in the 14th episode, which made me happy, but I hope that more than 100 people, 500 people and 1,000 people will participate this year.

Editor's note: The Memorial Day event of the Mugunghwa Love Group was scheduled to be held at the Mugunghwa Garden in Itovico James Garden (99 Edenbridge Dr.) on the 10th, but it was canceled due to heavy snow and worsening road conditions.

The news of my grandchild's acceptance to college.

On February 26th, my grandson Junsung applied to five universities, and he went to Toronto University for the first time
I was so happy and thrilled to hear that I got accepted, and then I went to all the other universities
I was very happy to hear that I passed
Especially, I heard that I got accepted to Waterloo University that it's hard to get in
At the time, everyone in the family was happy and tearful.

I was so moved and happy when I became the champion with victory
I can't forget it
I'm really grateful for him, who always entertains my grandson with his school keys.

On May 15, I opened a mugunghwa brogue and started posting it
It's over a million
I was so happy and thankful whenever so many people visited
And I promised to do a strong campaign to designate Mugunghwa as chrysanthemum
The 10th Baekjungje, the victims of the 516 war
August 18th is the day of Baekjung, who pays a memorial service to the deceased Younghyuns
Every year on this day, the 516 people who sacrificed their lives in the Korean War
It's the 10th episode this year
I've been doing a lot of things in my life, and I'm feeling rewarded and happy
There's nothing more rewarding and happy than this
Especially, starting this year, it's so rewarding to be the host of the Mugunghwa Love Gathering
I don't know if I feel it.

That's what I did. I sometimes ask for Mugunghwa, but every time, I get 1 guru
I don't know how happy I am when I give you Mugunghwa.

the 14th Memorial Day event.

On November 9, the Memorial Day event, which started in 2010, marks the 14th anniversary
I was worried because the weather forecast said it was cold and I didn't announce the event well
Fortunately, the weather is warm and the Korean Consulate General, including Minister Cho Sung-joon, Hanka
Many organizations, including the Senior Citizens' Association, Veterans' Association, and the Commonwealth Council
It was a more wonderful event than any other year, with about 60 Korean residents participating
Especially this year, it was the best event because of the piano and singing.

The best Christmas ever.

On December 10th, my daughter in London said it was a Christmas present and it worked properly
I removed the washing machine that I couldn't do and gave it to me as a new one
If you win a million dollars, you can get 500 dollars as a Christmas gift
It's the best, but now this year has been recorded as the best Christmas.

A gift from heaven.

I started posting, and the record of visiting HomeP exceeded 1300 and a half
The 13 million mark made me happy and touched, but since it's Christmas, it's a very special day

Third Hometown Toronto

 

Today is January 14th. This is the day I've changed a lot in my life.

It's the day it started.

It's the day I immigrated to Canada.

On January 14, 1977, at 10:00 PM, we left Gimpo Airport from Japan.

I transferred to Vancouver and then to Toronto.

I transferred and finally arrived in Toronto after a long journey.

What I can't forget about that day is that it's raining in Bencuver, but we arrived in Toronto.

Hani has a blizzard at minus 23 degrees Celsius. It's a very bad day.

That's what happened.

My family had to dress up at my brother's house in Victoria Park.

My immigrant life has begun.

Forty-six years have passed since then.

When I was 35 years old, I was 81 years old, and my daughter, who was 13 years old, was 59 years old.

My son, who was 9 years old, turned 55.

As soon as I came here, I went to Menpower School where I learned English.

I learned English for 6 months and received money every week.

This period was a very dreamlike time.

Soon after the Menpower School was over, I jumped into the life front.

First, I was a hotel cleaner for 6 months, and then I cleaned the dishes for 6 months.

With the help of my wife's money and neighbors, I started buying and operating sloppy shops in Young and Lawrence.

Since it started empty-handed, I was the only one who had a hard time.

They started to take their seats.

I found out about the  k b a  after running a store. I worked hard as a director for 15 years as a director.

The Korean Association also worked hard as a director for 20 years.

Furthermore, he participated in the Senior Golf Association, Buddhist Association, Mugunghwa Association , etc.

I engaged in active social activities.

Also, I've been working hard on internat activities, so I'm running 6 homepage.

The number of visits has now exceeded 7 million.

When i immigrated to Canada, i led my family with no special skills.

It was difficult to start immigration, but it was loved by many people.

I always enjoyed happiness beyond my means.

Also, I lived in a rewarding and overwhelming hope.

And I've been so attached to it for 46 years.

This place has become my hometown now.

This is my third home.

My first hometown is Kaesong, Gyeonggi-do, where I was born.

However, for me, i escaped to geasung  when I was 9 years old due to the Korean War, my hometown and my friend's face remain in a faint memory that I have no memory of.

My second hometown is Seoul.

The place where I met and settled with my brother, who had been wandering from place to place,

Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.

Study resumed at the late age of 12 leaving school at the age of 19 and going to the construction site

The small shop that started wandering was a hard life, but I lived a very rewarding life in a small volunteer work.

My volunteer work was published in the media, my handwriting was elected, and it was a one-act play on TV.

When the 36th episode was aired in a row, I was so moved. 23 years.

Seoul is my second hometown.

We're working hard today with a heart that's pounding.

For tomorrow's beautiful immigration life.

If you ask me, "What's the biggest task of the year?" I will readily answer,

"It's the Mugunghwa Love Meeting Memorial Day event."
For me, Memorial Day events are very precious, rewarding, enjoyable, and giving hope and happiness.

This year, it was held in the 12th James Garden Sang-on Mugunghwa Garden.
Previously, I packed flowers and supplies at Dalasang and Supermarket while I was packing supplies at home, but I was happy and worried that my wife, who had never participated in the Memorial Day event, would participate this year. So I hurriedly bought flowers and wire and left home around 9:30.
When I arrived at the park, the chairman came first.

Every year, i have to report a park rally before the event, but when i look at the park, the park employee stands out and approaches i with a stuttering tone

"Memorial Day event is held every year at the Mugunghwa Love Gathering, and it is held today."
"It's a very good thing. “
"First, Nadine, who is in charge, is promoted to the Bureau of Management, and I'm Paul, who is in charge of temporary management."
"It's a pity that people don't seem to know that we enjoy freedom because of them who sacrificed their lives for our country.“
I was so happy and excited to see how kind you are to me even if I stutter because my English is short.

One event guide sign and two bouquets of flowers were placed in two hills and a large Taegeukgi was erected. Meanwhile, I saw some happy faces.
Hankook Ilbo President Kim Myung-kyu, Buddhist Association President Choi Jong-hak, Hanka Senior Association Chairman Lee Woo-hoon, Veterans Association Chairman Song Seung-bak, Writer Byun Eui-seop, Chairman Kim Geun-rae, and Elder Jung Jin-hong were all welcome and grateful.
At 11 o'clock, the ribbon began to hang. Divided into two teams, 516 red ribbons in honor of 516 Korean war victims hung from the branches of Mugunghwa trees. The ribbon flower was really beautiful.

Just looking at the flowers containing 516 souls that bloom in only one place in the world makes my heart race and my heart race.
After wearing the ribbon, we had a tea party with the food prepared by the chairman after a brief greeting from the chairman. I didn't know that many people would leave because they met after a long time.

People who visit the park look at it with strange eyes at first, but after knowing the story,

In the meantime, there are things that I will not forget during the Memorial Day event.
A middle-aged Kennedy stood in front of Mugunghwa Garden and began to cry wildly. It's not just crying, it's just raising your shoulders and bawling.
