. More information on the latest apparent assassination attempt on former U.S. president Donald Trump is coming to light. Investigators say the suspect was hiding in the area of Trump’s Florida golf course for 12 hours before a Secret Service agent spotted a rifle and opened fire. 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested without incident and investigators say he did not fire a shot at Trump, but was carrying a loaded rifle with a scope. . Breaking news out of the U.S. where the FBI says it’s investigating what appears to be another assassination attempt on former U.S. president Donald Trump. It unfolded at Trump’s West Palm Beach Golf Club Sunday afternoon where the Secret Service opened fire on a man pointing a rifle toward the golf club. According to the Associated Press authorities have named a suspect ? 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh. They are still working to determine a motive. Jackson Proskow reports.

. The city of Jasper is taking another step towards getting back to normal after a wildfire forced 5,000 residents and 20,000 visitors to flee the town and the national park seven weeks ago. Starting Friday, tourists are allowed back, with some of the park's trails and day use areas available. Hotels are still not ready to welcome visitors and services across the city are still limited. “If you plan to travel to Jasper, check what’s open and available before you go,” officials said. Jasmine King reports from the mountain town, where there are mixed feelings about whether or not the town is truly ready to open for business.

. Police in Pennsylvania say that a man will face misdemeanor charges after he stormed into the press area of a Donald Trump rally Friday night. The man was subdued by police and no injuries were reported. The incident comes amid heightened scrutiny of security at the rallies of the former U.S. president.

. Admitted serial killer Jeremy Skibicki has been handed four life sentences with no chance of parole for 25 years in the 2022 murders of four Indigenous women in Winnipeg. Rebecca Contois, 24; Morgan Harris, 39; Marcedes Myran, 26; and an unidentified woman Indigenous community members have named Mashkode Bizhiki'ikwe, or Buffalo Woman, were Skibicki's victims.
